the mountains are calling! Join Lizzie and sara R. for a weekend of wellness and magic in ojai, CA.
✨ OLY OJAI ✨
friday, February 28th - sunday, march 1st
As Winter softens, step into a moment of pause and join us in the serene Ojai mountains.
Over two nights we’ll create space to reconnect with the divinity within, reflect, and renew our Spirits in community. Leave with a grounded heart, clear mind, and open energy—ready to bloom into Spring and beyond.
Across many cultures, Spring is considered the New Year —a time to set intentions, plant seeds, and embrace fresh beginnings. This retreat offers the perfect container to honor what’s ending, envision what’s next, and consciously step into the season ahead with clarity and purpose.
what to expect:
Daily yoga (vinyasa, yin, nidra), meditation, mantra, and ritual.
Free time to head into town, rest, read, write, wander the property, or simply do nothing at all
Plant-based meals and snacks. Plus daily tea and coffee, of course.
Connection with like-minded yogis in a relaxed, supportive, and heart-centered setting.
Time to explore the land, get outside, and be in Nature.
Amenities of our luxury retreat space, including the hot tub, labyrinth, yoga shala, and peaceful grounds
Where we’ll be staying:
Located about two and a half hours outside of LA, Ojai is a soulful retreat tucked between mountains and rolling valleys, known for its spiritual energy, natural beauty, and quiet magic. Many spiritual leaders have been drawn to Ojai’s serenity and wonders.
During our weekend together we’ll be staying at Twin Creek Ranch, a luxurious modern farmhouse with beautiful accommodations including a pool and hot tub, 1,000 sq. ft. yoga shala, basketball court, fire pit, fruit trees, and ample space for you to enjoy.

Sara Ruffin
Sara Ruffin (RYT-500) is a Tantra Hatha teacher based in Caliifornia with over ten years of teaching experience. She loves to celebrate the divine feminine and explore liberation through her teachings.
Sara was introduced to yoga at a young age and was instantly mystified by the ancient practice. Over the decades, Sara’s yoga practice became the common thread that wove her formative years together and introduced a “home” within her body. She credits yoga for transforming her life and creating steadiness in the mind.
Sara teaches and practices Tantra Hatha yoga in the tradition of Krishnamacharya. She first studied Jivamukti yoga in San Francisco before completing various advanced studies (RYT-500) in Tantra Para Yoga with Rene Quenell. Always a student, she continues education in yoga therapy, yoga nidra, and meditation, with deep reverence for the source of yoga and tradition of the practice.
Sara is a proud wife and mother of two beautiful sons. She also serves on the Building Trust Americas, a nonprofit focused on international philanthropic work, mostly in Colombia.
Lizzie Pereira Samadi
Lizzie is a multi-hyphenate in the wellness space: yoga teacher, student, plant-based healing chef, community builder, mentor, facilitator, friend. Together with her husband she owns One Life Yoga and The Salt Studio, two wellness businesses that are devoted to well-being, movement, and restoration in the Pasadena community. You will often find her at the studios with her daughter, Leila, in tow.
Lizzie found yoga after sustaining a double hip injury in her early 20s, resulting in a deep dive into the embodiment of yoga as both rehabilitation and a path toward self-discovery. Through years of exploration and study she has cultivated a practice rooted in curiosity, and the ongoing pursuit of balance—both on and off the mat.
Lizzie’s offerings are informed by the Five Elements, which serve as a through-line in both her teachings and her life. The Elements are infused into her classes, retreats, immersion programs, and workshops, helping students move in harmony with nature, the seasons, and their own inner rhythms. She is forever inspired by the magic of the human body and brings thoughtful, anatomical sequencing into her classes as well.
She is certified in Elemental Hatha Yoga, Pre-Natal Yoga, Yin Yoga, Amy Carmody Yoga, and has various training in anatomy, mobility, leadership, mysticism, and holistic wellness. Whether on the mat or at the dinner table together, she encourages self-discovery and radical self-compassion with a nurturing yet light-hearted spirit. Grounded, real, and a little bit magical, Lizzie’s vibrant energy is infused in every offering and into the walls of One Life Yoga.
