A few notes to help you get started

  • Please plan your travel time to arrive and be set up about 10-15 minutes before class.  This is a beautiful opportunity to prepare yourself and reacquaint with your mat and self. New students please arrive 30 min before class starts so we can show you the studio.

  • Please be ON TIME.  We understand traffic and parking struggles, but encourage you to prep your time accordingly so as to avoid stress and disruption in the class.

  • NO CELL ZONE: Please leave cell phones in your car or in a bag in our changing room. Disconnect from the mental distraction of modern devices.

  • One Life Yoga is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or misplaced items. Leave valuables at home or in your car where possible.

  • Please stay in the room til the end of the class.  We are creating a container for mindfulness and personal growth, not to mention heat. Please help to preserve the energy in the space by not leaving the room once class has begun. Try to use the bathroom before class and avoid drinking too much water during class.

  • HYDRATE; drink plenty of water before class and after.  Hydration really occurs OUTSIDE of the class.  During class, your teacher will guide you to the optimum times to drink water for safe and comfortable hydration.

  • Avoid eating  2-3 hours before class--eat fresh and nourishing afterwards.

  • Notify the instructor BEFORE CLASS of any injuries, medical conditions, pregnancy or other limitations. Let us know so we are aware. We will give you modifications where possible but mostly go easy on yourself and avoid overdoing it.

  • Please be sure to remove your shoes before entering the hot room.

  • Please refrain from wearing perfume, cologne or anything scented.

  • Bring lightweight clothes and yoga apparel to dress in. Refrain from lotions and creams before and during practice. The skin is the largest organ in the body and relies on clear and open pores to do its job best!

  • Be considerate of the sacredness of the space. Pick up after yourself and wipe down the studio mats and equipment that you use. Leave the space in better shape than you found it.
